For the first time I dared speaking Arabic in autumn 2018 in Cairo, after almost a year of lessons and learning in Bern. I was so happy with the teachers’ professional, yet personal approaches, and the smooth organization of the classes. They gave me the safe space, which I still need, because learning Arabic is somehow embarrassing for me, unlike other foreign languages, Egyptian Arabic is the language of my identity.
